About Angelique

Hello! I’m Angelique, a passionate and dedicated 300-hour TEFL-certified English teacher with experience teaching English to students of different ages and backgrounds. I particularly enjoy helping intermediate to advanced learners develop the confidence and communication skills they need to use English naturally and effectively.

I am currently studying towards a Bachelor’s degree, and I believe that being a student myself helps me understand the challenges that learners face when developing their academic, professional, and communication skills.

As a teacher, I am patient, approachable, professional, and encouraging. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and expressing themselves. I believe that a supportive learning environment is essential for building genuine confidence in English.

My lessons are adapted to each student's individual goals. I enjoy teaching Conversational English, General English, Business English, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and speaking skills. I particularly enjoy lessons where students can discuss interesting topics, practise expressing their opinions, solve problems, and develop the ability to communicate confidently in real-life situations.

For my younger students, I bring creativity and energy into lessons through games, stories, visual activities, movement, and conversation. With teenagers and adults, I use discussion, role-play, debates, real-world situations, and practical communication activities.

I use the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) teaching method, giving students a clear structure while still making lessons interactive and engaging. My aim is to help students move beyond simply knowing English rules and vocabulary and become confident English communicators.

About the lesson

Hi! I’m Angelique, a 300-hour TEFL-certified English tutor with experience teaching students of different ages, levels, and learning goals. I teach children, teenagers, and adults, particularly students at intermediate to advanced levels, and I’m currently studying towards a Bachelor’s degree, which continues to strengthen my own academic and communication skills.

My teaching style is friendly, patient, encouraging, and student-centred. I use the PPP method — Presentation, Practice, and Production — to help students understand new language, practise it in a supportive environment, and then confidently use it in real conversations and situations.

A typical lesson with me is interactive and communication-focused, rather than simply listening to a teacher. We may begin by reviewing previous material or discussing a familiar topic before introducing new vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, or useful expressions. We then practise together through guided exercises, questions, role-plays, problem-solving activities, and conversation. Finally, students use what they have learnt independently through speaking and real-world communication.

I believe that making mistakes is an important part of learning a language, so I create a relaxed environment where students can speak without being afraid of getting something wrong. I provide clear, constructive corrections and explanations while helping students become more accurate, natural, and confident English speakers.

I can help with General English, Conversational English, Business English, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, speaking, and listening. For professionals, I can also focus on workplace communication, meetings, presentations, interviews, professional vocabulary, business conversations, and written communication.

For younger learners, I use games, stories, movement, visual activities, repetition, and conversation to keep lessons engaging and age-appropriate. For teenagers and adults, I incorporate discussion, debate, role-play, problem-solving, current topics, and real-world situations according to their interests and goals.

My lessons are particularly suited to intermediate, upper-intermediate, and advanced students who already have a foundation in English and want to improve their fluency, accuracy, vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence.
