About Noah

know how stressful it can be when a subject like maths, physics or chemistry stops making sense — I've been on the other side of that as a student myself, which is exactly why I try to slow down and rebuild things from the basics rather than rushing through content. My own results speak to the approach: I'm a third-year Physics student at the University of Manchester with strong marks throughout my degree, including 98% in Quantum Mechanics, so I'm very comfortable with the material at both GCSE and A-Level, and can explain it in more than one way until it actually clicks.
I take tutoring seriously — lessons are planned around what each student specifically needs, not a fixed script, and I'll always be straightforward about where a student is genuinely doing well versus where more focused work is needed. I'm reliable, punctual, and easy to reach between lessons if a question comes up while revising. I've tutored before with real, measurable results (an average improvement of one grade level), and I also have experience teaching French in a school setting, so I'm used to adapting my style for different ages and confidence levels, not just repeating the same explanation regardless of who's in front of me.

About the lesson

I focus on building real understanding rather than just getting through past papers. For maths and physics especially, I like starting from first principles — if a student can't explain why a method works, they'll forget it under exam pressure, so we build the "why" first and the exam technique on top of that. I ask a lot of questions rather than just demonstrating solutions, since working through a problem yourself (even getting it wrong a few times) sticks far better than watching someone else do it. For chemistry, it's more about pattern-recognition and structured practice, so we'll do more direct worked examples and then repetition on similar problem types until it's automatic.
Lessons are usually an hour, though I'm happy to run 90 minutes for A-Level Physics if there's a specific topic that needs more space to work through properly.
I'm currently a third-year Physics undergraduate at the University of Manchester, with strong results across my degree. I've tutored Maths and Physics previously, with students improving by an average of one grade level, and I also taught French lessons at a local state school, so I'm used to explaining things clearly to students who are still building confidence in a subject, not just the ones who are already ahead.
I teach GCSE Maths, Physics and Chemistry, and A-Level Physics — suited to students anywhere from just starting GCSE content through to A-Level exam preparation.
