About Charlie
I'm coming towards the end of my degree now, and I feel that without other peoples help and support I wouldn't have gotten this far. Sometimes the most useful thing is just to have the space and support to properly think through a concept, and I would be so glad to provide that.
I find teaching immensely satisfying, as over time you tend to get to know a student, and so each of their victories feels as one of your own.
I would also like to think I'm approachable and down to earth. Never would I judge or punish someone for taking time to learn something, and hopefully that translates into creating a safe space for each student.

I largely find the most effective method is providing a student space to work and learn where they can receive confirmation that they do in fact know it.
Depending on the student, I tend to request either a topic or question sheet they wish to cover before hand, then run through a couple examples, then have them walk through some questions themself, backing them up should they get stuck. Should another teaching style be helpful, I'm more than happy to adapt.
I have tutored several times before, with a variety of ages between 13 and 16, though I often become the person my young cousins come to for help also.
I find lessons ranging from 45 minutes to an hour are most effective, though am perfectly flexible. I tend to prefer teaching online, as this means I can find time for longer lessons, without needing to commute, ideally on teams, skype , Whatsapp or similar.
