About David

I'm a 3rd year student at King's College London. I took on tutoring since I was in year 13 because I was good at maths. I was asked for help by my friends a lot and found that I had a talent for teaching. I used tutoring to earn some side income whilst I had some free time. I enjoy my students seeing their progress and gain confidence in their abilities. I also now have taken my teaching skills to powerlifting, where I coach people to become physically stronger. I have historically improved students' grades at A levels by at least a grade and usually two. I have absolute confidence that I will be able to help you improve your mathematical abilities.

About the lesson

My teaching methods involve a system which has worked for many people who I've had the pleasure of tutoring over the years including myself. I will ensure the student understands the methodology at a basic level, then progress and cement their understanding with practice. Then I will take their current knowledge and further it to allow the student to gradually progress and master their understanding of the topic. I typically prefer 1-2 hour sessions, depending on the level which the student is at. I've found that in my experience, this is where most students start to lose focus. I've tutored a range of ages, varying from year 4- year 13. I've been tutoring since I was in year 13 and have had multiple students which have drastically improved their predicted grades (by 1 or 2 grades usually.) I tutor students ranging from year 6- 13. However, am open to discuss if the student is not in this range.
