About Jasman
Hello! My name is Jasman, and I am a fourth-year student at the University of Toronto Mississauga, currently completing my Honors Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biology for Health Sciences and Chemistry. I have approximately two years of tutoring experience, working with students from kindergarten to Grade 12. I am excited to work with you and help you reach your full potential. Together, we will simplify challenging concepts, develop a structured plan based on your goals, strengths, and areas for improvement, and build the skills needed to achieve meaningful progress in your studies.

Typically, my sessions begin with introducing myself to the parents first, along with the student. This allows me to learn more about what they would like to focus on, and possible areas for concern from the family. This is critical as it allows me to identify weak points, the current pace of their learning/ what is being taught, and then to create a game plan for the current session and future sessions. One thing that sets me apart from other tutors is my active learning approach, where the student is actively solving the problems, rather than watching the tutor solve the equations for themselves. My teaching style actively changes based on the student and how they best learn, that be through creating practice problems, practice tests, flash cards, image occlusion, etc. After each session, I always detail what was done, the students' weaknesses and strengths, and any possible homework, if given. This allows me to keep track of their individual progress and ensure that all topics are covered promptly. I have seen incredible growth with previous clients through my approach, with academic grades increasing and their parents and teachers noticing significant differences in their motivation towards academics.
