About Clara
Hi there! I'm a 4th year honours university student studying to become a biology/health and physical education teacher. I have previous experience in program planning as well as working one-on-one with students in a classroom. I strongly believe in the importance of setting realistic goals based on the individual's abilities. I also understand that there are various learning types which is why the first session is centred around getting to know the student and how I can best support them. Lastly, I hope to gain the student's trust as I am very responsible, hard-working, and caring. Please reach out at any time!

Being a university student allows me to learn new and current methods of teaching as well as taking multiple areas of biology provides me with a diverse background.
The lessons will be for any students from grades 1-12 who need extra support with science/biology.
A typical lesson plan will begin by reviewing any work from the previous session. Once the student becomes comfortable, we would then move on to the current lesson where they would explain what they understand and which areas we need to focus on. After discussing, we would focus our attention on practice questions or reviewing the information. If the student remains unconfident, I would assign some homework which we would review together during the next session.
Before each session, I will request to see school work/lessons that the student would like extra help with so that I can adequately prepare and provide the best possible after-school support for each student.
