About Rose

As a student myself who has recently learnt and mastered both the math course at A level and GCSE (achieved grade 9s in math and further math at GCSE, and projected an A* in Math at A level), I am able to tutor students in a highly effective and less detached way given that I have been in the same position as them not long ago and am highly familiar with the courses.

I have had extensive experience tutoring students. As an academic prefect at my school, I established an inter-year study support system mentoring lower-school students in the four aforementioned subjects; several of the students I have mentored have reported positive feedback, reflected their higher grades. This all demonstrates my ability to engage with students across all years and ages. Further, I formally tutored my neighbour's children for a year in math and English, helping them achieve 9 grades at GCSE.

About the lesson

I offer lessons for any students from pre-GCSE to A level in Math (and further math at GCSE).

I am flexible in terms of lesson duration - they can vary from 40 minutes to an hour, depending on parent/student preference. This flexibility also feeds into my tutoring approach as I use a personalised methodology to meet individual needs. I can identify and hone in on particular areas of students' weaknesses, for example, particularly focusing on applied topics, including statistics and mechanics, in lessons. Given the variety of math topics, I would usually map out a series of lesson plans with the student's own mathematic skillset in mind, to assign each lesson to a particular topic that needs to be covered.

As a student myself who has mastered my own courses, I have extremely effective study methods and access to very useful revision materials that are relevant and applicable (given that most subjects have amended their courses during recent years).
