About Nikola
I am currently an accounting student at the University of Waterloo and have different commitments such as volunteering on campus and work-terms. These force me to be extremely organized, lay out my schedule and priorities each day in order to not become overwhelmed. This has built a lot of discipline in myself, and I believe that my skillset and ability to spread knowledge and teach others should be passed down to my students. I am a very kind person, and will treat everyone with respect, as long as it's reciprocated, so when teaching others, I approach the interactions in a very positive way so that we can both benefit equally.

I typically lay out their strengths in either math or English, start with a simple exercise to get warmed up a bit, then proceed. My previous tutoring tactic of unexpectedly asking questions about previous topics has engraved the knowledge because they consistently remember the strategy and it becomes muscle memory. Different students have different methods of learning, but I noticed that verbal communication has been more effective than just making them write out a problem 100 times. In terms of personal fitness training, I have years of sports experience and training children to high schoolers, with tough encouragement and enforcing perseverance in them early on.
