About Ben

Hello! I am a tutor with over fifteen years of experience, specializing in both private tutoring and formal instruction. I have worked one-on-one with students in their homes and held an official tutoring position at a high school.

I have a deep passion for learning and take great joy in seeing students succeed. My tutoring style is relational and student-centered. I believe a coaching-based approach allows me to break down complex concepts in a way that is accessible to learners at any level.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics with Double Honours from UBC. My tutoring journey began with math and science, and over the years, I have helped students from grade six through university-level calculus achieve outstanding results.

In addition, I have a Master of Arts from Regent College, which has enabled me to support students in writing, reading comprehension, history, and English.

Recently, I decided to return to graduate school and took the GRE, scoring 330+ on my first attempt. I mention this not to boast but to assure you that I have a deep understanding of the test and how to approach it strategically.
