About John

Hi! My name is John Cedrey, and I'm originally from the Philippines. I'm a passionate and dedicated 17 year old student who loves helping achieve their academic goals.

I'm currently studying Biology and Chemistry A-Level and Psychology Intermediate, with the ambition of becoming a scientist in the biotechnology industry, where I hope to contribute to developing treatments and cures for diseases.

Having achieved eight Grade 1s in my O-Level examinations, as well as 3 Intermediate subjects (Physics, Systems of Knowledge and English) in my belt I understand the importance of effective studying. Through tutoring, I hope to share my knowledge, help students overcome academic challenges and achieve the grades they're aiming for.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring focuses on making learning engaging, effective, and stress-free, while helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals.

I believe every student learns differently, so I personalise my lessons to suit their individual needs, breaking down complex topics into simple, understandable explanations.

What I offer:

- FREE Detailed Notes: Comprehensive study notes with clear explanations, colourful illustrations, and labelled diagrams.
- Past Paper Practice: Step-by-step worked solutions, guided practice, and useful examination techniques to maximise marks.
- Effective Study Strategies: I emphasise active recall, spaced repetition, study optimisation, and effective organisation of information.
- FREE Gizmo Flashcards: Interactive digital flashcards to help students revise and retain information.
- ️ Minimal Homework: Short, meaningful exercises that reinforce learning without overwhelming students.
- Personalised Support: Lessons tailored to each student's learning pace, strengths, and weaknesses.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, with flexible durations depending on individual needs.

My goal is not just to help students achieve better grades, but to teach them how to study smarter, become independent learners, and develop confidence in their abilities!
