About Brooke

I am a passionate acting coach and performer with a genuine love for storytelling and character work. Alongside teaching, I continue to act in amateur theatre productions, which keeps my practice current, grounded, and connected to the realities of rehearsal rooms and performance. My credits include productions of The Addams Family, We Will Rock You, Oliver!, School of Rock, and Mamma Mia, giving me broad experience across musical theatre styles, ensemble work, and character-driven performance. What drives my work, both as an actor and a tutor, is a deep fascination with getting inside a character’s mind. I love exploring subtext, breaking down scripts, and uncovering intentions and objectives within a scene. For me, strong acting comes from understanding not just what a character says, but why they say it, what they are avoiding, and what they truly want. This analytical approach allows performances to feel honest, detailed, and alive. I bring this same curiosity and commitment into my teaching. Because I am still actively performing, I understand the nerves, the excitement, and the creative challenges students face. My goal is to create a supportive space where actors can experiment, take risks, and develop confidence while building solid technique and a deeper connection to the text. Acting is not just something I teach, it is something I actively live and continue to grow in, and I am always excited to share that enthusiasm with my students

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is practical, focused, and rooted in real performance rather than theory alone. I aim to build confident, truthful actors by combining strong technique with imagination, curiosity, and discipline. In lessons, we work deeply on voice and clarity, ensuring text is supported by breath, intention, and emotional truth. I guide students through character exploration, breaking down who the character is, what they want, and why they want it. We analyse motives and objectives, uncover subtext, and learn how to make informed, bold choices that bring performances to life. Whether working on classical or modern material, stage or screen, I encourage actors to connect personally to the text while respecting its structure and style. Lessons are always tailored to the individual. Sessions are available in 30-minute, 1-hour, or 2-hour formats, depending on focus and intensity. Shorter sessions are ideal for monologue polishing or audition preparation, while longer sessions allow time for deeper character work, scene study, and performance refinement. I hold an A-Level in Performing Arts and have completed professional theatre school training, alongside 13 years of experience. This combination allows me to balance academic requirements with industry expectations, particularly for students preparing for assessments, auditions, or further training. My lessons are suitable for any age, from beginners building foundational skills to intermediate performers looking to sharpen technique, confidence, and performance depth. Classes are taught online in a supportive, focused environment where students are encouraged to take risks, develop their own voice, and enjoy the craft of acting
