About Adam
- What kind of experience do you have?
As a tutor:
For the last eleven years I have taught acting and vocal skills to a wide range of students across a variety of organisations and ages, from teenagers up to retirees. I also prepare students for drama school auditions, focusing on classical and contemporary monologues and audition technique.
As an actor:
I've recently completed a six month UK tour with the National Theatre, and will soon be appearing in several new television dramas, as well as forthcoming cinema releases.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
I currently work on a freelance basis for several well known Performing Arts Schools, delivering acting and voice classes to almost 300 students every week, on a wide range of disciplines. I provide tuition for an organisation providing acting classes specifically for adults and I also work on a one-to-one basis with those looking for help with accent reduction/elocution, and with people seeking to improve in public speaking and presentation in the workplace, increasing positivity, confidence and self esteem.

I'm a professional actor and tutor with extensive theatre, film and television experience. I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and have been specialising in teaching acting and voice, alongside my acting career, since graduating in 2007.

Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (2007) - 2 Yr Diploma in Acting (vocational)
- How much do you charge?
My hourly rate of £45 (and £40 for any subsequent hours within the same session) is inclusive of preparation work, travel, and email/phone support.
- Where do you teach?
I prefer to teach at your home (although I understand this isn't always possible so alternative arrangements are available), and areas I cover include Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard, Aylesbury, Tring, Berkhamsted and more. I'm happy to receive enquiries for locations further afield (e.g. locations in the surrounding counties of Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire), although an additional travel fee may be required.
- When are you available?
Weekdays, evenings and weekends (depending on work commitments)
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages from 14 upwards.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
I'm a firm believer that anyone can improve their vocal, acting and dramatic skills swiftly, given the right tools for the job, and I tailor my approach to each student in line with their experience, abilities, requirements and aspirations. I'm passionate about my work, and am friendly, easy going, and empathetic.

Excellent! I have had 2 lessons with Adam so far and I have found him to be very informative, friendly and knowledgable in acting. He gives clear direction in lessons and is prepared to give feedback outside of coaching sessions. He is always prepared to give 110% to the point where you leave with a lot more confidence than before. I would highly recommend Adam to other actors!
