About Charmont

Pacing remains the core of my teaching style. I provide direct feedback immediately so you can fix mistakes before they become habits. My degree in music ensures you learn the theory behind the songs you play. During our time together, I focus on your specific technical goals.

Grade exam prep is available if that aligns with your timeline. I have spent 5 years refining these methods for working professionals and adults. You will appreciate the focus on acoustic technique and fingerpicking. Getting better at your instrument is genuinely fun when you have a clear roadmap.

About the lesson

Playing at a crowded Montreal bar late on a Tuesday night taught me more about music than any textbook could. I finished my Bachelor of Music in Popular Music at the Université de Montréal before leaning into my career as a SESSION PLAYER.

Through 5 years of constant gigging and teaching, I have refined my craft. I have instructed 175 students ranging from complete novices to advanced players. My expertise covers acoustic technique, fingerpicking, and songwriting.
