Catherine has been tutoring my daughter, Lily (10th grade), in French for about a year. Before we started, Lily was having a tough time keeping up, especially with grammar and new verb tenses—they were moving through the material pretty quickly at school. Since working with Catherine, I’ve noticed a big improvement in Lily’s confidence and understanding. Catherine breaks things down clearly and gives her helpful practice work that connects directly to what she’s learning in class. She’s also very responsive—Lily’s reached out with questions a few times outside of lessons, and Catherine has always been happy to help. It’s made a real difference in how Lily feels about French.

Catherine is extremely dependable, and reliable. She is the oldest of five children with a great work ethic.
She went to French immersion school at elementary level, and is currently attending French IB program in high school. She is reading French books regularly, and is honours roll student in high school.

Besides her great school success, and volunteer work at the community, she
is also teaching two elementary school students French language. The both children look forward to her zoom lessons, and they developed a great relationship with her. These students even mentioned they want to visit her in person one day!
I believe the reason for this great relationship with her students is because she knows how to share her vast knowledge of French with elementary students due to her large family dynamics, and is creative to develop interesting lesson plans to keep them engaged and never give up.

This creativity comes easy for Catherine as she has a great area of interests including, but not limited to grade 7 RCM piano level, level 3 Lifeguard swimming certification, and the knowledge of Spanish, Croatian and Mandarin languages. Finally, Catherine is an established visual artist who already had exhibits in local community center, and sold arts online, and in person.

I'm in grade four and Catherine is my French tutor. When she was little, she used to go to the same school as me. She is super nice, and I really like having French sessions with her. Her French classes are engaging, so I feel happy when I know I have a French class. I learn lots of new French words with her and am learning how to read in French too!

Catherine is a great tutor! She has tutored me French for two years. She has always helped me so much with my French schoolwork. She adapted to my learning pace and then helps me understand the work. She also teaches me some stuff in advance. Then I can get ahead with my French and surprise my teachers with what I know.
