About Esiri

I'm a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) currently working as a Flight Operations and Performance Engineer, with a career spanning aerospace, manufacturing, and aviation analytics at organizations including Airbus/Navblue, De Havilland Aircraft, and JetBlue. I hold an M.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering from Concordia University and currently working on another Master's degree in Analytics from Georgia Tech.

My path into teaching started early, as a Teaching Assistant at Concordia University, and grew from there into a role as a Coding Instructor, where I taught Python to students building their first programming skills. Python and SQL aren't just subjects I teach - they're tools I rely on every day in my engineering work, from building performance models to analyzing large datasets. That day-to-day experience is what I bring into every lesson.

I care about teaching because I know what it feels like when a difficult concept finally clicks, and I enjoy helping students get there just as much as I enjoy solving technical problems myself. Whether you're a student building foundational skills or a professional looking to sharpen your Python or SQL, you can expect patient, practical, and genuinely engaged lessons.

About the lesson

My teaching approach starts with making sure a concept truly clicks before adding complexity — I use plain-language, analogy-driven explanations rather than jumping straight into syntax. This comes from teaching Python as a Coding Instructor at SV Robotics Academy, and from being a Teaching Assistant at Concordia University during my M.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering.

A typical lesson starts with a quick check of what the student already knows, moves into the concept explained through a real example, often drawn from my own work writing Python scripts and SQL queries for aircraft performance analysis. It then finishes with hands-on practice, working through code or queries together so the concept is applied, not just discussed.

What sets me apart is that I use Python and SQL daily as a working Professional Engineer, not just as teaching material. I bring real, on-the-job problems into lessons rather than only textbook examples. I'm also continually building my own data projects, which keeps my approach current with how these tools are actually used in industry.

My lessons suit middle school through university-level students, as well as early-career professionals looking to build or strengthen their Python and SQL skills for work or study.
