About Alexander
I am a student doing Aerospace Systems Engineering at Coventry University, hoping to one day change the world. I have been a freelancer web developer for about 3 years working on small and medium projects and have been tutoring people on the basics for a while over video. Web Design has offered me a way to express my creativity and I wish to share that with more, as long as they are willing to learn. I have won numerous national and regional web development contests and have full ECDL licence.

I usually teach through showing examples and providing a goal to seed ideas into a student. Nobody will want to understand anything unless they have a goal they wish to achieve, and thus I usually provide beautiful hard to create designs in order to stimulate students to push themselves more and more. As a simple and well-documented design language that I will teach, Material Design by Google will serve as a good introduction into how shadows, colours and shape play into creating beautiful websites and interfaces. After introducing basic concepts of it along with HTML and CSS, students will continue to expand their CSS knowledge by being tasked to come up with numerous designs for essential components found on the web. No matter if it is a button or a navigation bar that they are designing, it will all help them understand how things are done. At the end of the entire study period their work will be compiled into a web design component collection that they will be able to use themselves again and again, which may help them get a job themselves in the Web sector.
