I prefer to have an open session where my tutees come prepared with questions and an open mind towards learning. I initially determine areas of improvement and progress through the sessions by posing questions with a focus towards the weaker areas while also providing positive feedback to reinforce learning. Additionally, I assess the tutees best learning style and provide information in the most easily digestible manner to cater their needs. My overall goal is to promote long term retention and learning of fundamental concepts which will be foundational in post-secondary education.
I am a 5th year pharmacy student currently on the Dean’s List. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree In Physiology from McGill University. In high school, I graduated top of my class and received the Bronze Medallion (highest graduating average).
I have currently been an official tutor for 1 year with over 160 hours of experience and CRLA Level 1 certification. Previously, I have had tutoring experiences for many years through tutoring peers and friends on subjects such as Pharmacy Skills Calculations and basic algebra.
