About Dana

I have led my college team—as a team captain—to record seasons and was able to ignite self-belief in them: on and off the field. I became 2x Defensive Player of the Year and All-American. I played for a German professional club for 7 years and was part of a selective state team for 5 years. This led to me being an expert in tactics and technicals. I have crushed every conditioning test and researched optimizing nutrition to enhance performance and recovery. Plyometrics, agility, and speed also play a major role in becoming a successful athlete. Through my own experience, my devotion towards health and performance, and my medical background, I will form you into the best player you could possibly be. I am an MD-PhD student and knowledgeable about injury prevention and a healthy, nutritious, performance-enhancing diet. Throughout the years, I developed the mindset of competitive greatness which ultimately led to me being able to achieve my soccer goals and becoming a student at Harvard.

About the lesson

My expertise includes - soccer: technical, tactical, reading the game - agility & speed - endurance: win every conditioning test on your team with my aid - strength: soccer-specific gym exercises and plyometrics - nutrition: functional food choices that make you the best athlete, enhance muscle growth and recovery. - mental fitness: staying focused, visualization, being composed and confident on the ball - soccer-specific communication to enhance your game You choose in which areas you would like to be coached! I gained these expertise through my soccer career in a German professional club, as a team captain, All-American, and 2x Defensive Player of the Year at a US college, as a certified children’s sports group leader, and through my medical background (MD-PhD student). Depending on the focus of the lesson, they will take place on the soccer field, in a gym, or online. It is important to me to make my players the best players in all aspects of the game & to form them into successful people as a whole. Your mentality is essential to your success. I am here to teach you! Players of every level can join. I will offer one-on-one sessions or private lessons with 2-3 players. The training plans will be personalized and adjusted to your desired rate of progress and ultimate goals. Due to my medical background, I will implement an effective warm-up and stability+agility exercises to prevent injuries. I have played as a defender, midfielder, and forward. I will teach players in all of those positions (not goalkeepers) with position-specific skills: Comfort on the ball, dribbling, left foot, right foot, different passing techniques, power and spins on the ball, receiving the ball, turning with the ball, shooting the ball, passes long distance vs. short, vision on the field, judging the ball and timing, defending 1v1, reading the opponent and predicting their moves, decision making, etc. Sessions are planned for 1h.
