About Duncan
Hi all,
I am an Honours student at the University of Prince Edward Island majoring in both Biology and Psychology. However, I have interests ranging from English literature and Philosophy to Mathematics and Physics. I am also a member of the Men's Varsity Soccer Team at UPEI and like to spend my free time chatting with friends in any of the coffee shops found downtown.

A typical lesson plan will vary depending on the student's specific needs. However, my general approach is to identify why the student is having difficulty with a particular subject, explain the logic behind the problem in different and new ways, and then practice, practice, practice!
I hope to help students improve their ability to answer questions related to their coursework. But, more importantly, I hope to help them cultivate and improve their approach to learning so that they are better equipped to think critically about the questions they come across in the future. For instance, learning the basic anatomy of a cell is a great first step, but being able to put that anatomy in context and think critically about how organelles interact and respond to new circumstances will better serve students in the future - it will also make the practice of studying much more interesting!
I am able to tutor English, Mathematics (including calculus), Chemistry, Biology, and Physics from the middle to high school level. I am also happy to tutor any first-year undergraduate courses.
