My teaching method is to fist have a conversation about my student's body. The question in focus being "what stops you?" (physically and mentally). We will then discuss goals for our practice. These can be as simple, or complicated as necessary (expanding movement, finding peace etc). Our practice will be guided by me, but controlled by the student. What I mean by this, is the student knows their body better than I ever can and will be encouraged to become in tune with it, listening to the queues that works for them.

I grew up dancing and was always passionate about fitness. I teach a variety of different yoga styles including flow, hatha, sculpt and yin. Studying yoga has furthered my peace, my understanding of focussing on different muscle groups, and it has even made my workouts more efficient. Previously I was teaching part-time, but I left my office job as an account manager at a tech company to pursue my dream of helping others grow in their health and wellness goals. I'm also currently studying functional nutrition and herbal medicine to aid in my guidance of others.

Sydney is my Daughter and is my first Yoga Teacher. Sydney is careful to take the time to help students with the Yoga Poses/Positions so that even a rookie like me can find the right position to get the most out of the stretch or Yoga pose. She takes the time to explain where a student should be feeling the stretch or pose and to always work to your level or experience. Sydney cares about each student and is a hands on, confident Teacher that doesn't rush through her program.
When Sydney was teaching spin classes she would even allow me to come to her practice sessions and would coach me one-on-one (even though I wasn't always the best listener or follower) and she was very patient and kind (I know at times I was annoying - but she was still patient and kind).
I recommend Sydney not just because she is my Daughter and a Great Teacher but because she is sincere in her desire to help each student progress in Yoga.
She is a caring Teacher who loves to teach others and help them improve at their own pace while also challenging her students to get the most out of each session.
