About Anika
Hi, I am Anika! I'm a dedicated and enthusiastic high school student with a strong passion for mathematics and helping others learn. I enjoy making math approachable by breaking down difficult concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps.
I believe that every student has the ability to succeed with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build their confidence and develop strong problem-solving skills that will benefit them both inside and outside the classroom.
I create a supportive, positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Every lesson is tailored to each student's individual needs, whether they need help with homework, test preparation, strengthening foundational skills, or learning new concepts.
I specialize in teaching math to students in Grades 2–6, including elementary algebra and core mathematical concepts. I look forward to helping your child develop confidence, improve their understanding, and discover that math can be both enjoyable and rewarding!

I believe that every student can succeed in math when concepts are explained in a clear, encouraging, and engaging way. My approach is focused on building confidence first, then strengthening understanding through practice and real-life examples rather than memorization.
My teaching methodology involves breaking down complex topics into simple, manageable steps. I encourage students to think through problems independently by asking guiding questions instead of immediately giving answers. I adapt my teaching style to each student's learning pace and use visual explanations, practice questions, and positive reinforcement to help them fully understand each concept.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material to identify any areas of difficulty. We then learn a new concept through step-by-step explanations and examples before working through practice problems together. The lesson ends with independent questions to reinforce learning and a brief review to ensure the student feels confident before moving on.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my patience, strong communication skills, and ability to make math less intimidating. As a high-achieving student myself, I understand the challenges younger students face and know how to explain concepts in a relatable and easy-to-understand way. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
My lessons are designed for students in Grades 2–6, with a specialization in algebra and core mathematics.
