About Sean
Hi! I'm a lead software developer with 10+ years of experience developing websites. I have been passionate about programming since I was very young. Something about designing games and websites that anyone with the internet could see was thrilling, and I love to ignite that same feeling in others. At 15 years old I started professionally as a junior developer with a small web agency, and have enjoyed my work ever since. I'm now a board member of that same agency, spearheading projects for major insurance and telecommunications companies you've probably heard of, and procuring government contracts as well. At age 19 I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Web and Mobile Programming from Liberty University. Outside of work, I enjoy the piano, gaming, playing with my dogs, and exploring nature with my wife.

My education taught me how to problem-solve and think critically, but I was also forced to spend time and memorize information that I didn't think was relevant to building apps; historic figures, algorithms, and other trivia, in my opinion, only got in the way of hands-on, practical experience in programming that is the most valuable. That's why my teaching style is focused on answering the question: "What do you NEED to know in order to be an excellent web developer?"
We will be diving into the world of C# and .NET Core, but starting from the shallow end first. I'll make sure you understand the essential knowledge that will serve you in a real workplace, rather than trivia questions. We will move at your pace - there is no set curriculum. We will utilize AI as a tool, not a crutch.
Whether you are seeking a career, studying for a class, or picking up a new hobby, I can take you from an absolute beginner to a full-stack engineer. The only limit in this field of work is your imagination and motivation. Bring those two to the table, and we will create awesome things together!
