About Angie
My teaching philosophy is that playing skills can be improved through consistent practice, yet outstanding musicianship is comparable to laying a building foundation. Every detail including hand posture, tone production, strength application and musical expression needs to be refined step by step. A solid foundation paves the way for long-term progress in guzheng learning.

I am a professionally trained guzheng performer graduated from Xinghai Conservatory of Music in China. I have performed at prestigious venues including the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Sydney Town Hall, Guangzhou Opera House and Xinghai Concert Hall. I was awarded the Silver Prize at the inaugural Hong Kong International Guzheng Competition and stood on the award podium of this professional contest at the age of 16. I have completed concert tours across Australia and held exclusive recitals at venues such as Guangzhou Opera House during my Guangdong provincial tour. With over 80 students under my tutorship, I boast extensive experience in exam preparation and stage performance coaching.
Learning guzheng with me brings multiple benefits. I help students build solid foundational techniques and develop professional-level muscle memory instead of merely getting the notes sounded. Drawing on my extensive international stage experience, I guide learners to appreciate the charm of traditional Chinese instrumental music, mastering skills to produce resonant tones, coordinate body movements with breath control and bring musical pieces to life. Besides busy work and daily routines, students can gain a strong sense of cultural belonging and a private spiritual haven that brings great healing effects, even more soothing than yoga. For those aiming for grade examinations, competitions or public performances, I am well-equipped to provide targeted preparation with my firsthand stage experience.
本人毕业于星海音乐学院古筝专业，曾先后登上悉尼歌剧院、悉尼音乐学院、悉尼市政府、广州大剧院、星海音乐厅等多地舞台，斩获香港首届国际古筝比赛银奖，十六岁便斩获专业赛事奖项。不仅完成全澳大利亚巡回演出，在广东省也开展巡演，于广州大剧院等地举办专场音乐会。目前从事古筝教学工作，已有八十余名学员，拥有充足的考级辅导与舞台演出指导经验。
