About Anniyah

I want to teach English because I genuinely enjoy helping people grow in confidence and reach their goals. As someone who was born and raised in England, I understand how important clear communication is, and I’d love to help others feel comfortable and confident speaking English in everyday situations. Whether it’s improving pronunciation, building vocabulary, or simply feeling less nervous when talking, I want my students to feel supported and encouraged. Seeing someone become more confident and able to express themselves clearly is what motivates me to teach.

About the lesson

Lesson layout differs from person to person depending on your English level and age.

1. Warm-Up (5–10 minutes)

* Casual conversation (How was your week? What did you do today?)
* Quick review of last lesson
* Go over a few key words from before

Goal: Help the student feel relaxed and comfortable speaking.

2. Main Topic (15–20 minutes)
Choose ONE focus per lesson:

* Grammar (e.g. past tense, future tense, question forms)
* Vocabulary (e.g. travel, school, work, hobbies)
* Pronunciation (British accent sounds, difficult words)
* Everyday English (ordering food, job interviews, small talk)

Explain simply. Give clear examples. Let them ask questions.

3. Practice (15–20 minutes)

* Make sentences together
* Short role-play conversation
* Simple reading or speaking task
* Correct mistakes gently and explain why

Goal: Help them actually use what they learned.

4. Speaking Time (10–15 minutes)

* Have a proper conversation using the new topic
* Ask open questions
* Encourage full sentences

Goal: Build confidence and fluency.

5. Feedback & Small Homework (5 minutes)

* Tell them what they did well
* Correct a few important mistakes
* Give small homework (write 5 sentences, learn 10 words, etc.)
