About Toby
I am a student at ANU with a strong passion for mathematics, having achieved E3 results in both Extension 1 and Extension 2 Mathematics in the 2023 HSC. One of my key strengths is explaining concepts I have mastered in a way that students can understand fully. I focus my lessons on courses I know thoroughly to help students build both understanding and confidence.
I have a calm and patient demeanor and understand the frustration that comes with struggling to grasp a concept. I work through difficulties at the student’s own pace and always create an environment where it is safe to ask questions and make mistakes.

I teach math by breaking concepts down into clear steps and asking questions to pinpoint where students are confident and where they need support. I use worked examples, practice questions, and selected online resources (such as videos) to reinforce understanding.
Lessons are flexible and typically run for around 60 minutes.
I graduated the 2023 HSC with E3 results in both Extension 1 and Extension 2 Mathematics and am currently studying a Bachelor of Science at the Australian National University, including mathematics courses.
My lessons are suitable for Years 7–10 and Standard Mathematics for Years 11–12.
