About Myra
My path into architecture was inspired by curiosity about how spaces influence feeling. Over the past eight years, I’ve worked as both practitioner and educator, combining professional experience in design studios with my commitment to teaching. I’ve guided students through conceptual projects, technical drafting, and digital modeling—watching them evolve from hesitant sketchers to confident creators. Teaching architecture feels like passing forward a torch of imagination that was once lit for me. My teaching values center on inclusivity, creative exploration, and technical discipline. I encourage students to discover their own design language—one that reflects their individuality while honoring architectural principles. I emphasize iterative learning, constructive critique, and environmental awareness. Lessons are collaborative; students learn to share ideas, challenge assumptions, and build resilience through creative problem-solving. Every design, successful or flawed, becomes an opportunity for reflection and growth. Outside the classroom, I remain deeply connected to the architectural community. I participate in design exhibitions, sustainability initiatives, and research on adaptive urban environments. These experiences continually enrich my teaching with real-world context. To me, architecture is more than construction—it’s storytelling through structure. Sharing that understanding with my students continues to be the most meaningful aspect of my career.

Architecture is the poetic balance between art and engineering—a discipline that demands both creativity and discipline. My lessons begin by awakening a student’s ability to see space as a story waiting to be told. Through drawing, discussion, and conceptual exploration, I teach how shapes, materials, and proportions can communicate emotion and purpose. Each session emphasizes design thinking, historical awareness, and innovation, helping learners appreciate architecture as a reflection of human experience and cultural identity.
Lessons are organized to meet students at their current stage of learning. Beginners start with hand-drafting, geometric fundamentals, and spatial reasoning, while intermediate learners move into 3D modeling, architectural theory, and sustainable design principles. Advanced students develop complex design projects, focusing on presentation, detailing, and environmental integration. I incorporate design software—AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp—to ensure that creativity is supported by technical fluency. Real-world projects and portfolio critiques help bridge the gap between education and practice.
More than anything, I aim to instill a lasting sense of purpose. Architecture isn’t just about structures; it’s about empathy—creating spaces that shape human behavior and comfort. My students learn to balance aesthetics with function, dream with precision, and express their individuality while addressing real-world needs. When they begin to see architecture as both responsibility and art form, I know their learning has matured beyond technique into vision.
