About Tessa
My passion for architecture grew from observing how spaces influence human behavior and experience. I earned a B.Arch and an M.Arch in Urban Design, which provided a strong foundation in both creative thinking and technical execution. Over 9 years, I have mentored students in translating ideas into coherent, practical, and aesthetically compelling designs.
I teach through an interactive and learner-focused methodology that combines drawing exercises, conceptual discussions, modeling practice, and design critiques. Students are encouraged to explore their creativity while developing technical skills, analytical reasoning, and confidence in presenting their ideas.
Outside teaching, I stay actively involved in architectural projects, sustainable design studies, and urban planning research. These experiences enrich my lessons with real-world relevance and contemporary practice. Witnessing students evolve into thoughtful, creative, and confident designers who can articulate and execute their vision is immensely rewarding. My mission is to cultivate capable, imaginative, and self-assured architects ready to excel in academic and professional arenas.

Architecture is a blend of creativity, technical skill, and thoughtful problem-solving, and my lessons aim to foster all these aspects. I cover design principles, spatial reasoning, form development, sustainable design, materials understanding, and visualization techniques, helping learners translate abstract ideas into tangible concepts. Each lesson combines hands-on exercises, sketching, modeling, and digital tools to nurture creativity while grounding students in structural logic, proportion, and design functionality.
Lessons are personalized based on student experience. Beginners focus on drawing basics, simple spatial concepts, proportion, and foundational design thinking. Intermediate learners explore advanced sketching, model-making, material application, and composition strategies. Advanced learners refine portfolio development, design presentation, architectural research, and project planning skills. Each session emphasizes creative confidence, iterative design thinking, and a balance between aesthetics and technical feasibility.
Architecture lessons also foster critical observation, problem-solving, and expressive capabilities. Students develop the ability to analyze spaces, generate ideas, and communicate concepts effectively. They gain satisfaction from designing meaningful, functional environments while building a disciplined, confident approach to creative work. My goal is to help learners become independent, innovative designers capable of tackling architectural challenges thoughtfully and imaginatively.
