About Avni

My journey in architecture began with an early fascination with buildings, spaces, and the ways design affects people’s lives. I pursued a B.Arch followed by an M.Arch in Sustainable Architecture, gaining expertise in both theory and practical design approaches. Over 7 years of teaching, I have helped students transform their creative ideas into structured, visually compelling architectural solutions. I emphasize a warm, supportive teaching approach, combining concept exploration, technical guidance, and structured feedback. My lessons integrate sketching, model-making, and conceptual discussion to ensure students build confidence in both their design ideas and technical abilities. Outside teaching, I remain engaged with architecture through urban design studies, sustainability projects, and continual analysis of contemporary architecture. Bringing these insights into lessons helps students connect theory to real-world applications. Watching learners evolve into confident, imaginative designers is deeply rewarding and highlights the joy and fulfillment in guiding their creative and professional growth.

About the lesson

Architecture becomes exciting when students learn how ideas translate into spaces that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and sustainable. My lessons cover design thinking, spatial planning, proportion, form, materials, and visual communication. I focus on nurturing creativity while grounding lessons in practical architectural principles, helping students develop their own design voice while understanding professional standards. Interactive exercises, model-making, and concept discussions are integrated to reinforce learning and build confidence.

Intermediate learners study complex design projects, advanced drawing, and technical considerations, while advanced learners focus on portfolio preparation, presentation skills, and refining design concepts for competitions or professional evaluation. Each session is structured to enhance creativity, clarity, and technical competence, ensuring students gain both expressive and practical skills.

Architecture lessons foster critical thinking, spatial awareness, and creative problem-solving. Students learn to evaluate spaces, consider user experience, and communicate ideas effectively. My goal is to empower learners to develop their creative identity, gain confidence in design expression, and build disciplined habits that support both academic and professional growth. Architecture becomes not just a subject but a means for creative exploration, thoughtful design, and lifelong engagement.
