About Whitney
I have 10 years of experience teaching architecture, holding a B.Arch and an M.Arch in Urban Design. My teaching focuses on helping students transform conceptual ideas into practical, aesthetically compelling architectural solutions while fostering creativity, technical skill, and analytical thinking.
I use a student-centered, interactive approach that incorporates sketches, models, 3D tools, design discussions, and problem-solving exercises. Learners are encouraged to explore independently, take creative risks, and articulate their design ideas clearly and confidently.
Outside teaching, I remain engaged in architectural research, sustainable design projects, urban planning studies, and creative exploration. These experiences enrich my lessons and allow me to provide practical insights and contemporary relevance. Witnessing students grow from conceptual exploration to confident design expression is deeply fulfilling. My mission is to nurture innovative, skilled, and thoughtful architects prepared to excel academically, professionally, and creatively.

Architecture is the art and science of creating functional, aesthetic, and meaningful spaces. My lessons cover design principles, spatial planning, form and function integration, visual communication, materials, sustainable architecture, and model building. I emphasize hands-on exercises, step-by-step design exploration, sketches, 3D modeling, and real-world examples to help learners translate ideas into compelling spatial solutions while fostering creativity, analytical thinking, and visual literacy.
Lesson plans are customized for different skill levels. Beginners focus on basic sketching, spatial concepts, proportion, and fundamental design principles. Intermediate learners explore advanced drawing techniques, model making, architectural software, material selection, and sustainable design practices. Advanced learners tackle urban design, architectural theory, portfolio development, design presentation, and complex project execution. Each session combines guidance, exercises, and interactive problem-solving to cultivate clarity, creativity, and technical confidence.
Architecture lessons also build critical observation, creative problem-solving, and spatial awareness. Students gain satisfaction as they develop original designs, understand the interplay between form and function, and learn to articulate their ideas visually. My goal is to guide learners into confident, innovative, and thoughtful architects capable of applying design principles practically and creatively in professional and academic contexts.
