About Monisha
I’m an Art & Design teacher and children’s illustrator who teaches kids (7–12 yrs) through structured, project-based classes – drawing, painting, mandala, posters, character art, and a touch of digital (Procreate & simple 2D animation) – with a strong focus on creativity and confidence, not just copying. I work across both traditional and digital media: Traditional: acrylic landscapes and portraits, watercolor, pencil & ink, mandala and pattern art, texture painting, basic clay modeling Digital: Procreate (kids’ illustration and simple 2D animation), Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop (posters, logos, layouts), PowerPoint (interactive lesson slides), and basic video editing for short teaching/animation clips

About the lesson

I don’t run a “colouring class”. I run small, project-based art labs where kids design rooms, characters, emotions and posters – using traditional materials, modern illustration ideas and clear, step-by-step guidance.
Your child works with paper, pencil, colours (no expensive devices needed).
I use Procreate / digital tools to demo clean examples, show time-lapses and simple animation so they can see where “good drawing” can go next.
It’s old-school fundamentals with a modern mindset.
Project-based, not random pages
Every 1–2 classes, your child finishes a proper project:

“My Dream Room” (design + space)
“Emotion Wheel” (same character, different feelings)
“Save Our Planet” poster (headline + picture + icons)
"Simple story panels and characters"
They’re not just copying a cartoon; they’re designing something of their own.
I keep batches small, and every class each child gets one clear, simple improvement point:
“Make the bed bigger so your room feels balanced.”
“Try lifting the eyebrows more to show surprise.”
This is how skills actually grow from week to week.
Confidence first, perfection later
I don’t “fix” every drawing to make it look like mine.
I show them how to improve, so they feel, “I did this” – and want to keep drawing after class is over.
