About Rudá Gonçalves
Rudá Gonçalves is an artist, educator, and trans person, recognized as a reference in the Brazilian Breaking scene. With over 12 years of experience in Hip Hop culture, he was a member and coordinator of Skeleton Breakers, one of the oldest Breaking crews in Belo Horizonte, actively contributing to strengthening both the local and national scenes. Currently, Rudá coordinates the Research and History Department of Hip Hop at Drop Education — Brazil’s first hybrid Breaking school — where he develops initiatives focused on artistic training, memory preservation, and valuing the roots of the Hip Hop movement. His international career includes performances with the renowned Cirque du Soleil in several countries, as well as participation in major Breaking competitions, representing Brazil in three world championships. His journey is marked by the power of his dance, his commitment to education, and the visibility of trans people in prominent spaces within art and urban culture.
