About Moon
With more than 15 years of experience as a violin tutor, I specialize in teaching college students who want focused and practical violin training. I believe strong fundamentals and smart practice lead to confident playing. My teaching approach combines creativity, accountability, and mentorship. I focus on posture, bow technique, finger accuracy, rhythm control, intonation, and tone quality.
I also encourage students to think critically about their playing and develop independent learning skills. I use innovative methods such as practice breakdowns, slow practice techniques, guided listening sessions, and performance exercises. These tools help students practice efficiently and build confidence. I also support students with basic music theory and sight-reading. Accountability plays a central role in my teaching.
I help students set realistic goals, maintain consistent practice habits, and review progress regularly. I provide constructive and encouraging feedback. In addition to violin, I can also teach rhythm exercises, ear training, and performance skills. My lessons are calm, structured, and designed for college students.
