About Abel
Teaching Cricket has been in my blood since a kid; playing park cricket in the hot sun in Sydney. I was even trying to teach kids on the opposite team how to play better. Being one of the youngest assistant coaches in the Netherlands has only further gone on to show how much passion I have for coaching
For me, being able to contribute to somebody else improving and hitting their first 50 or take their first wicket is the most satisfying thing cricket can bring.

My name is Abel Heymeijer, I have been coaching cricket for 4 years and I am here to help you reach the next step in your cricketing career. I am Level 1 ECB certified and have been Assistant Coach at the Amsterdam Cricket Academy for 1 1/2 years, but have been playing for more than 15 years, in multiple different continents.
I look to work together with an athlete and analyse physical detriments to their game, as well as enhancing their mental strength to make the 'lonely' game of cricket, an easier one to navigate. I require athletes to be open and honest about their ability and issues, to ensure development of their game.
Lessons can range from 1 to 5 lessons, with a typical session length of an hour long.
