About Xin
My name is Xin. I was born in China, moved to the UK as a child in the 90s, and have lived in London for over 20 years. I trained in several external martial arts before discovering Tai Chi in 2016 — and I haven't looked back since.
I've been very fortunate to train under Master Ding, 6th generation in the Yang Sau Chung lineage. Master Ding has branches across Europe and is known for truly embodying Tai Chi and its principles.
Tai Chi is hard to capture in words. Most people picture the slow movements in the park, but its roots are as a martial art. Tai Chi works with energy — Qi:
- Qi Gong helps you gather and centre your Qi
- The form circulates Qi
- Partner work lets you test and apply Qi
Done consistently, this settles the mind and unites body and breath, so you move as one. The deeper you go, the more you realise it's a lifelong path of self-discovery — not a set of movements to memorise.

My lessons follow the traditional structure of my school but stay flexible to suit you. A typical session runs 60–90 minutes and include:
- Qi Gong and Daoist core exercises
- Tai Chi short form and long form
- Applications and partner work
- More advanced training methods as you progress
I started training in 2016 and have since accumulated close to 7,000 hours of training, workshops and instructor retreats.
I've taught a wide range of students — from my 8-year-old daughter, to experienced martial artists curious about the internal arts, to older learners wanting better balance, strength and coordination. Everyone can benefit from Tai Chi.
There are no prerequisites — just come with an open mind.
