About Dean
I’m an award-winning architectural designer and researcher with over a decade of experience spanning professional practice, education, and independent design work. I’ve worked on high-profile hospitality, residential, and public projects in the UK and internationally, and my work has been featured in respected platforms such as Open Gaza (AUC Press) and shortlisted for AHEAD Awards. Alongside practice, I’ve maintained a strong commitment to education: teaching at MArch level, sitting on design reviews, and interviewing prospective postgraduate students. I’ve always enjoyed helping students unlock the next stage in their design thinking and creative confidence. Tutoring allows me to pass on what I’ve learned while staying connected to the energy and ambition of emerging designers. I understand the pressures of architecture school and aim to offer clarity, structure, and inspiration in equal measure.

I offer thoughtful, design-led support for architecture students at undergraduate and postgraduate level; from portfolio development and conceptual framing to narrative strategy and design refinement. My teaching approach is conversational and analytical. I focus on developing your own design voice while helping you communicate ideas with confidence. Whether you need feedback on drawings, narrative, structure, or presentation, I’ll help you sharpen your thinking and refine your work to a high standard. Lessons are typically 60–90 minutes, but I’m flexible depending on your needs. I’ve been a guest critic and design tutor at schools including Westminster and Newcastle. I have also contributed to the MArch admissions process at Westminster by interviewing prospective students, giving me a strong understanding of what schools are really looking for. I hold an MArch from the University of Westminster School of Architecture and my 5th year design thesis work was exhibited by RIBA and internationally published. These lessons are ideal for architecture students working on final-year projects, preparing for crits, applying to MArch, or aiming to elevate the standard of their portfolio. I also support early-stage students looking to develop clarity and confidence in their process.
