About Amy
Having recently graduated from high school after being top of my class for two years in a row I have a deep understanding of Canadian curriculum in advanced and basic math and science. I have experience mentoring kids and teens through my work in scientific research, where I helped groups of students reach their goals of writing scientific papers. I've received several awards for my academic pursuits including first place at the Research in Science Exhibition, a BASEF Inspiration Award, and a Hillier Scholarship for Excellence in Science.

I believe the biggest barrier students face is finding someone who can explain a concept different ways. I believe in coming at a problem from different angles in order to find that one that best works for you. As a recent student, my study skills are top-notch and I strive to teach students not only the material but also how to learn independently in the future. If I do my job right, I'll be out of a job!
