About Ara
Hi! I'm Ara Jang and having just been through the HSC myself, I understand exactly what NSW students need to succeed, from mastering exam technique to building genuine confidence in problem-solving. I tutor students across all levels of high school math, from Standard through to Extension 2, with a focus on clear explanations, structured practice, and steady, measurable progress. I'm passionate about teaching because I know firsthand how the right guidance at the right time can turn a struggling topic into a strong one, and I'm committed to giving every student that same support.

My sessions run for 1.5 hours and are usually structured as a review of the previous topic or homework, followed by new content or exam technique, then guided practice, and finally homework set for the next session.
I've been tutoring privately since November 2025. I achieved an ATAR of 98.55 in 2025, with a Band 6 in both Mathematics Extension 1 (97) and Mathematics Extension 2 (95).
My lessons are for NSW high school students across all levels of maths, from Standard through to Extension 1 and Extension 2.
