About Sarah
I have a significant science background, graduating with Biology and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (dentist) degrees. Although being a dentist was an incredible experience, I found I have a passion for teaching and really connect with elementary school aged kids. I am in my final year of my Bachelor of Education studies and will graduate being a grade 4-10 general science teacher. I am ideally looking to tutor kids in grades 4-8 who need help in science.

Teaching beliefs:
Because I have both knowledge and practical experience using my science background, I find teaching makes the most sense when the curriculum can be applied and hands-on. Learning is not about memorizing, but understanding the content and realizing its importance. I love to make connections between the content and previous knowledge and/or their interests via analogies and activities when able to. I strive to make science fun and engaging in a safe and judgement-free zone!
