About Nicholas

Exceptional teaching is taking the time to understand your student, what captures their imagination and the way of learning unique to them. Education is never one-size-fits-all, so I make it my priority to find the approach that clicks. All it takes is patience, perseverance and a pinch of creativity. My speciality is tutoring arts and humanities subjects, particularly music. I guide my pupils towards the verbal and critical thinking skills that not only propel them into the top grade boundaries but set them up for success later on. Beyond the national curriculum, I can prepare students for their ABRSM theory grades. I also come from a strong STEM background and am well prepared to help students excel in their maths and physics examinations. I place a lot of focus on refining problem solving and accuracy. My approaches are practically based. I always begin tutoring by reviewing students' past papers to identify and tackle any recurring issues quickly. From there, we'll work on setting good foundations, using them as a springboard for performance under exam conditions.
