About Claude
I’m a calm, organized, and approachable person who values consistency and clarity. I enjoy teaching because I like seeing progress develop naturally over time and helping students avoid unnecessary frustration early on.
I aim to make learning piano manageable and low-stress for both students and parents. By keeping expectations clear and practice focused on enjoyable, achievable goals, students can stay engaged without pressure, and parents don’t need to closely manage the process. I value patience, reliability, and thoughtful communication, and I try to create a learning environment that feels steady and supportive.
I approach teaching with care and professionalism, with the goal of making music an accessible and positive part of a student’s routine.

My goal as a piano teacher is to help students feel confident, motivated, and genuinely excited to improve. I believe lessons should be structured enough to build real skills, while still being flexible and enjoyable, so students stay engaged.
I am currently a Bachelor of Music piano major and began teaching while still in high school, working with family members and now private students. Being closer in age to many of my students helps create a relaxed, supportive learning environment, especially for teens, while my university training ensures lessons are grounded in strong technique and musical understanding.
Students are encouraged to choose the music they want to play and the areas they want to focus on. My goal is to help them learn how to play whatever they want, however they want, by giving them the tools to truly understand music rather than just memorizing notes.
We begin with a short warm-up focused on technique and ear training, then move into the pieces or songs the student is working on. Toward the end of the lesson, we cover music theory in a way that directly connects to what they are playing. While technique, ear training, and theory are often seen as boring, I integrate them into music the student enjoys, so learning feels natural and fun.
Lessons take place in your home for convenience, and each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, interests, and learning style.
