About Mara

My name is Mara, and I am a dedicated digital skills tutor specializing in helping beginners, adults, and seniors feel completely at ease with modern technology.

I know that computers and smart devices can sometimes feel overwhelming, confusing, or full of unnecessary jargon. My mission is to change that. I create a calm, supportive, and judgment-free space where no question is silly and you can learn at your own natural pace.

With extensive experience across both Apple and Windows platforms, I focus on practical, step-by-step guidance that turns tech frustration into daily digital independence.

About the lesson

---What You Will Learn---

1. Everyday Essentials: Navigating your desktop, managing files, organizing folders, and keeping your system clean and running smoothly.
2. Internet & Online Safety: Browsing securely, recognizing suspicious emails or scams, managing passwords safely, and booking services or shopping online.
3. Communication Tools:** Setting up and using email, WhatsApp Web, Zoom, and video calling loved ones or colleagues without technical hiccups.
4. Photo & Document Management:** Backing up memories, transferring photos from your phone to your computer, and saving important documents in the cloud (Google Drive, iCloud, OneDrive).

---How We Work Together---

1. Clear, Jargon-Free Guidance: Everything is explained in plain language. If a concept feels confusing, we break it down using real-life analogies until it makes total sense.
2. Learn by Doing: I guide you through each action while you control your own mouse and keyboard. Practical muscle memory is the fastest way to build confidence.
3. Your Questions Set the Agenda: Lessons are 100% tailored to what you actually want to do—whether that is organizing your digital life, sending attachments, or learning a specific software.
4. Step-by-Step Reference Notes: You receive short, simple step-by-step notes after sessions so you can easily practice on your own between lessons.

---Learning Environment--

- Zero Pressure, Maximum Patience: There is no rush, and no question is too basic. We repeat steps as many times as you need to feel comfortable.
- Available Platforms: Compatible with Windows PCs, Mac (macOS), Chromebooks, and connected mobile devices (iPhones, iPads, Android).
- Delivery: 1-on-1 private mentoring online via screen sharing, conducted in English or Spanish.

Mara is a dedicated, passionate teacher who has great results. She is empathetic but can very well keep the professor limit and adapt to each personality or even atypical mental structure. She has a lot of patience and is professional and structured. It will be a joy to learn with her.

Mara is amazing teacher! I am so happy I found her for my kids! At first my daughter was studying with her and later my son. My kids are very different, but Mara easily found the way to make them feel comfortable, free to speak with her, she managed to make them be really interested and excited in things they were learning, so they were waiting every next class! She is just the perfect tescher every parent wants to find for their kid!

Mara has been an incredible teacher for both of my children. She quickly understood their different personalities and learning styles, and adapted her lessons to each of them. They not only learn, they enjoy learning with her. It's rare to find a teacher who combines warmth, structure, and results like she does.
