About Kristy-Ann

Hello! My name is Kristy-Ann, and I am passionate about helping students understand their work and become more confident in their abilities.

I hold a BCom Accounting degree and have a strong academic background in Accounting, Economics and Business Studies. I am also continuing to develop my accounting knowledge through further studies. My academic journey has given me a solid understanding of these subjects and, importantly, has taught me how to approach challenging concepts step by step.

I am a patient, friendly and approachable person, and I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students can work at their own pace without feeling embarrassed about making mistakes.

My lessons are focused on understanding rather than simply memorising information. I explain concepts in a clear and practical way, work through examples with students and give them opportunities to practise until they feel confident with the topic.

I can assist students with Economics, Business Studies and Afrikaans, with lessons available in English or Afrikaans depending on the student's preference.

Whether you need help with a difficult topic, homework, test preparation or simply want to improve your understanding and confidence, I would love to help you reach your academic goals.

About the lesson

My goal as a tutor is to make learning easier, less stressful and more enjoyable. I believe that every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand what each student struggles with and adapt my lessons to their individual needs.

I offer lessons in Economics, Business Studies and Afrikaans. I am also proficient in English and can use English as the main language of instruction where preferred.

My teaching approach is patient, friendly and practical. Rather than simply giving students answers, I focus on helping them understand the concepts and the reasoning behind them. I encourage students to ask questions and work through examples with me so that they can become more confident and independent in their studies.

A typical lesson will begin by identifying the topic or areas the student is struggling with. I will then explain the concept in a simple and understandable way, work through examples step-by-step, and give the student opportunities to practise what they have learned. We can also focus on homework, test preparation, exam preparation or specific topics that require extra attention.

My lessons are aimed primarily at school learners, particularly students who need additional support with Economics, Business Studies or Afrikaans. I am also happy to assist students who simply want to improve their understanding, confidence and academic performance.

With my BCom Accounting background and continued studies in Accounting, I have a strong academic foundation that I can use to help students understand difficult concepts in a clear and practical way.

Whether you are struggling with a particular topic or simply want extra practice and support, my aim is to create a comfortable learning environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes and learn at your own pace.

My tutoring rate is R150 per 50-minute lesson.

This rate includes personalised, one-on-one support tailored to the student's needs. Lessons can focus on understanding difficult concepts, homework assistance, test and exam preparation, revision, or additional practice.

Online lessons are available, and I aim to provide patient, friendly and easy-to-understand explanations throughout each lesson.

As I am starting out as a tutor, I have chosen an affordable rate while building experience and reviews on the platform.
