About Tasmiyah
Hey! I'm Tasmiyah and I'm a first-year BCom Accounting Sciences student and honestly? I'm a little bit (a lot) in love with accounting and I would love to help you find that same love for the subject. I managed to get an A in matric for the class and had the pleasure of helping my friends go from hating or merely tolerating accounting to genuinely enjoying it. I understand that accounting can sometimes feel daunting, but I truly believe that with the right approach, anyone can grasp its concepts and even enjoy the process. My goal is to make learning accounting an empowering and positive experience for you. You can expect me to be professional and prepared but also flexible-I'll be there to help you with what you need not just plow through a syllabus-patient and supportive because I know studying and school isn't the most lovely thing to do-and genuinely enthusiastic and ready to help you-I really do love accounting and I really do love teaching it too! My academic background, combined with my practical experience in facilitating significant student progress, assures you of my commitment and ability to guide you effectively. I am eager to share my knowledge and help you unlock your full potential in Accounting!

Hey! I'm a first-year BCom Accounting Sciences student, and I'm passionate about helping high schoolers master accounting. My goal isn't just to help you pass; it's to help you truly understand the work, build confidence for your tests, and hopefully, even learn to love accounting as much as I do!
My teaching style is rooted in interaction, patience, and kindness. I know how intimidating impatient teachers can be – and I promise, I'm not one of them! My approach is highly personalized, recognizing that every student learns differently. I'll tailor our lessons specifically to you, strengthening your weak areas, building on your strengths, and catering to your unique learning style and needs. My aim is always to meet you exactly where you are in your understanding, making your learning journey as easy and enjoyable as possible.
A typical lesson will be flexible, depending entirely on you and your needs, but will generally include:
A review of previous work to solidify foundational understanding.
Clear and concise teaching of new topics.
Working through homework, past papers, and various examples to ensure concepts are fully understood
Time for answering all your questions and clarifying any doubts.
Discussion of exam techniques relevant to the topic, along with recommendations for additional practice questions.
My classes are aimed at Grade 9, 10, 11, and 12 Accounting students who are:
Preparing for upcoming exams (mid-year, prelims, finals, or control tests)
Struggling to grasp key accounting concepts or simply looking for guidance to achieve that next level of academic performance
Seeking a patient, supportive, and knowledgeable tutor to help build their confidence in the subject
I understand how challenging it can be to find a tutor you connect with, who you learn effectively from, and who genuinely wants to help you succeed.
Individual online lessons are R175 per hour, and your first 60-minute one-on-one lesson is absolutely free!
Looking for a more cost-effective option? I also offer special group rates!
Small Groups (2-3 students): R150 per student per hour
Larger Groups (5+ students): R100 per student per hour
