About Juan

I have been constantly learning music since I was 11 years old when I learned to play the guitar and went to private lessons with excellent teachers. I was part of several music groups, both rock and heavy metal, and I was the lead guitarist in them. I played throughout much of my country, I had fun and learned a lot.

My time at the music teaching college and conservatory gave me a wide range of teaching tools and a lot of content in the music theory area. For many years I gave private guitar lessons, with the vast majority of my students playing electric guitar, which forced me not only to teach the techniques of the instrument but also how an amplifier and effects pedals work.

While I love playing and teaching instruments, the pandemic gave me time to focus on my other passion: creating hip hop instrumentals and learning about music production. In a very short time, I learned how to do it and was already working for people from Argentina, Mexico and the US, making beats for them, working on vocal production, recording, mixing and mastering, all from my computer and with very few resources.

Today I continue in this beautiful career that is music production, but I want to teach everything I have learned up to this point so that you too can make quality music from your computer without having to spend hours and hours watching tutorials on YouTube that will only lead you to believe that with a plugin you will achieve a quality that in reality can only be achieved with knowledge.

About the lesson

Learn effectively, without having to spend thousands of hours watching YouTube tutorials that get you nowhere other than thinking that you need a certain plugin or certain equipment to be able to achieve a sound that can compete with the quality standards that the music industry demands today.

Music theory, synthesis, drum programming, sampling, recording, mixing and mastering are some of the subjects we will review in our classes so you can take your production to the next level.

My time at a music teaching school and years of giving private guitar lessons gave me the teaching tools you need to understand the universe of music production, which encompasses so many facets.

I use Ableton Live, but what you are going to learn can be applied to any DAW on the market. Because what matters is not the tool but the person who uses it. Learn from scratch or with prior knowledge.
