About Rishi
I am a student pursuing Mechanical Engineering in VIT Chennai. Started learning martial arts from a very young age of 6 years and still continuing it. Won in a lot of district, state and national championships.
I am a professionally trained black belt holder and have got my affiliation from the JKF (Japan Karate Federation), Tokyo, Japan. I train both kids and adults in karate according to their needs be it for health or taking it up competitively. I am also a defense aspirant who wants to join the Indian Air Force in the near future as a fighter pilot. I was a part of NCC (National Cadet Corps) and represented my directorate as a skeet firer.

I initially start with a slow pace and build up on an individual's flexibility, strength, speed and stamina by giving them functional workouts according to their needs. Preparing the student mentally to push his/her limits is the primary concern and I make sure they do it on a regular basis to feel more powerful and confident.
Once they are ready I start with basics. I take a long time to teach basics till the student is really good at doing it. It will slowly move forward where the student eventually learns katas, fighting basics, fighting combinations and sparring. With time and patience the individual can master the technique and practice it as an art. It is a great art for being sound in body and mind. Wado-Kai karate is much more than just a martial art and can be applied to all the life aspects and helps to concentrate in one's life.
