About Kathy
With level 10 RCM credential, I am an avid pianist looking to introduce music to others wishing to take up piano. If you are unsure whether you want to learn piano casually or professionally, I'm happy to help you decide on your direction with knowledgeable guidance at an economic rate. As students reach levels higher than 7, I will refer you to 10+ years experienced, professional piano teachers/examiners who can support you through higher professional levels.

I aim to teach my students independent music learning that will enable them to read new music pieces with ease, transcribe their favorite songs, and play accompaniment. My lessons will emphasize sight reading, ear tests, basic theory, and finger technique in addition to meeting the RCM exam requirements as I believe these are fundamental to an independent and creative musician, whether you wish to play seriously or casually.
