Makenna is one of the most confident and fluent signers I’ve ever studied with. We met in an online ASL class a few years ago and I was immediately impressed by how quickly and naturally sign language came to her. She’s continued to inspire and motivate me to grow in my own study of ASL and has only improved as I’ve gotten to know her. Her years of experience combined with maturity, patience, and excellent communication skills make her a perfect tutor, and I was so happy to discover she started teaching! She’s calming, kind, good for a laugh, and a wonderful addition to both the teaching and ASL communities alike. Any student privileged enough to learn from her will gain crucial knowledge and vocabulary, learn and apply skills, build confidence, and excel in sign language!

She has a great personality. And she really likes doing sign language. She likes helping kids learn and is a very friendly person.

Makenna is very fluent and skilled in American Sign Language. Over the years, I have learned a lot from signing with her, and she has even shown me how to sign songs in ASL. I have never met anyone more proficient in finger spelling! Makenna is also very thoughtful and kind. She is such a good teacher for younger kids as she assists her mom’s class and even just seeing her around my younger brother, I can’t imagine a better ASL tutor!

Makenna is very kind and patient. She will take the time to really make sure you understand a concept and does a great job explaining and modeling things. Highly recommend her!
