About Monica
I prioritize slow, deliberate pacing to ensure every chord sounds clear. The room fills with the rich resonance of a well-tuned acoustic guitar.
I bring 13 years of experience to every session to help you refine your technique. My ARCT degree provides a structural framework for your progress.
I create custom backing tracks so students can practice soloing at home. This allows you to experiment with improvisation in a low-pressure setting. Music should be a rewarding experience for every student.

Strumming patterns, barre chords, and intricate fingerpicking define my daily teaching life. Music is a lifelong journey. I began my training with a violin focus at Schulich, then expanded into guitar and voice as secondary studies.
Over my 13 years of experience, I have developed a deep understanding of chord transitions and rhythm guitar. I teach 346 students and counting, ranging from absolute beginners to advanced learners and self-taught players who need structure.
I also help returning learners rediscover the instrument. I believe that songwriting, soloing, and improvisation add essential joy to the technical work. I enjoy sharing my love for the guitar while helping you build a solid foundation.
