About Nathan
Hi! My name is Nathan, and I’m from Cocoa Beach, Florida. I attend an Honors Junior/Senior High School, where I’ve consistently challenged myself with advanced courses.
As a student, I understand how overwhelming ELA assignments and tests can feel — but I also know the strategies that work to make learning easier and more enjoyable. My goal is to share those strategies and help other students gain confidence in reading, writing, and grammar.
What makes me a strong tutor:
Honors-level student: I know what it takes to excel academically and can pass on those skills.
️ Relatable: As a teen tutor, I connect easily with younger students and make lessons less intimidating.
Experienced helper: I’ve supported classmates and younger peers with their schoolwork, and I’ve seen firsthand how encouragement and clear explanations can make a difference.
Positive and patient: I create a comfortable learning space where students feel free to ask questions and try again without fear of mistakes.
I want my students to walk away from each lesson not only understanding the material but also feeling motivated and capable.

Math doesn’t have to be stressful! My math tutoring sessions are designed to build understanding, confidence, and problem-solving skills step by step. I focus on making math clear and approachable by breaking problems into smaller parts and showing multiple ways to solve them.
What a Typical Math Lesson Looks Like
Warm-Up (5 min): Quick review or mental math activity to get started.
Mini-Lesson (10 min): I explain the day’s topic in simple, easy-to-follow steps.
Guided Practice (15 min): We work through practice problems together, so I can model and give feedback.
Independent Practice (10–15 min): The student solves problems on their own with support as needed.
Wrap-Up (5 min): Review key takeaways and solve one final “challenge” problem.
Topics I Can Help With
Basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Fractions, decimals, and percentages
Pre-Algebra and Algebra basics
Word problems and critical thinking
Study skills and test prep strategies
My goal is to help students not only solve problems correctly but also understand the “why” behind the math. With practice, patience, and encouragement, math can become a subject they actually feel good about!
