About Stacy

I love when students learn something new and then are able to demonstrate it and even teach others. I have over 28 years of experience teaching including 2 years with the U.S. Peace Corps in Costa Rica. I love languages and taught Spanish for 25 years in Nebraska and Iowa. I have a Master's degree in Education (University of Nebraska at Omaha) and Bachelor degrees in Elementary Education and Spanish with a K-12 Teaching Endorsement (Northwestern College in Orange City, IA). I have experience teaching PK-12 and love helping students with grammar, reading, and phonics. I also enjoy teaching the history and culture of Hispanic countries.

About the lesson

I like using music and techniques like color coding & highlighting to help students learn language. I have experience teaching vocabulary & grammar as well as immersion-style instruction.

I am certified in Spanish K-12 and Elementary Education K-6. I have over 28 years of experience teaching.

Perfect! Did a great job of seeing where my baseline knowledge was, and based the lesson off of that. Communication and a grammar lesson helped me create my own sentences and allowed me to think of responses that were not just simply responding the same sentence
